Bob Bradley has called in a youngish, slightly hodge-podge roster for the American friendly against South African next week in Cape Town.  Included are the rumored Agudelo, Abbossoumonde and Diskerud, plus a surprise in Teal Bunbury (whose national team choice I wrote about recently), Tim Ream, and Eric Lichaj.

The roster:

GOALKEEPERS: Brad Guzan, Dominic Cervi

DEFENDERS: Gale Agbossoumonde, Nat Borchers, Jonathan Bornstein, Clarence Goodson, Eric Lichaj, Tim Ream, Jonathan Spector

MIDFIELDERS: Alejandro Bedoya, Brian Carroll, Mikkel Diskerud, Eddie Gaven, Logan Pause, Robbie Rogers

FORWARDS: Juan Agudelo, Teal Bunbury, Robbie Findley

Most eyes will be on the kids of the group.  The MLS names, particularly Pause and Carroll, are roster filler.  Cervi is a young keeper with Celtic with potential but little playing time to his name.  Don't get too excited by Findley's inclusion; he's another known quantity taken along to fill out the team.

By American standards, this roster is super young, or perhaps more accurately super green.

Thoughts?  I have a bit of a time crunch at the moment, but I might be back with a few players that are of particular interest to me. I will say that even though I'm keen on Agudelo's potential and am happy to have Diskerud in the team, it's Ream that I'm most excited to see.
