Ahead of tonight's USA-Honduras match in Chicago, here's another installment of Fun With Translation. The importance of this qualifier is a heavy focus in the American soccer media (such as it is), and it's likely the Spanish-language press has its own proliferation of stories.

First, a nice piece on the backgrounds of the sides' respective captains, Amado Guevara and Carlos Bocanegra.

Next, a short story out of Honduras on that country's poor history against the Americans. Interesting to not the "David versus Goliath" line at the end of the story. It's tough to feel like Goliath after the poor performance in Costa Rica.

Here's some "coachspeak" from the Honduran head coach, Reinaldo Rueda. This one is a little tough to decipher, though the most interesting tidbit is the mention of a potential immigration raid. Odd. The thought had never occurred to me. Also in this story, Hejduk's name is spelled "Hedduc".

Last, but certainly not least, the Honduran presence at one hotel in Chicago required the intervention of local police.
